Just made this tonight for a halloween party and they turned out great! I added quite a bit of butter and used caramel halves instead of tootsie rolls and green gel icing for the leaf.. they are super cute and are keeping their shape quite well. I started out with buttered hands and it just did not work. I then used warm water and it worked perfectly. They are super adorable!
I added a few tablespoons of corn syrup to the recipe and I let the mixture cool a little before I started forming the pumpkins. I had to press them really tightly to keep them together, but as the mixture continued to cool it got much easier. When I was finished, I gave each of the now-room-temperature pumpkins a good final squeeze.
Delicious rice krispie treat with pumpkin, these are adorable and will be perfect for this year’s Halloween Bash! These are just so cute!! I love how they turned out
